Job summary

The Millennia Companies seeking a Temporary Assistant Property Manager for Lakeside Gardens in East Chicago, IN. You will support the Community Manager, handle leasing, marketing coordination, and day-to-day property operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 2+ years in residential leasing or property management, with strong communication and Microsoft Office proficiency; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years’ experience in residential leasing or property management.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
• Marketing, sales, or customer service experience required.
• Housing experience preferred, HUD/LIHTC knowledge a plus.
• Willingness to travel; typically 1–3 days, possibly weekly.

Responsibilities

• Interview and screen prospective residents for occupancy.
• Advertise vacancies, negotiate leases, and enforce terms.
• Process work orders and invoices; maintain records per policy.
• Maintain filing systems and prepare reports and audits.
• Assist in marketing campaigns and resident retention efforts.
