Job summary

Rowan University is seeking an Admissions Recruiter to serve as the primary contact for prospective students and families and guide applicants through the enrollment pipeline, while representing academic programs through consultative outreach, events, and campus tours.

The role involves building relationships with community partners, counseling applicants, coordinating recruitment events, and maintaining CRM records. Travel within the region is required, with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in admissions, student recruitment, higher education, sales, or a customer-facing environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-channel inquiries, organize priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Public speaking ability with experience delivering presentations to varied audiences.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region, including occasional evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and families; respond to inquiries, provide admissions guidance, conduct counseling sessions, and support applicants from initial interest to enrollment.
• Conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, and CRM campaigns. Execute school visits, represent the university at college fairs, conferences, and community events, and cultivate relationships with local counselors and advisors.
• Promote academic programs using consultative sales and personalized outreach strategies to achieve recruitment goals, encourage completed applications, schedule interviews, and drive enrollment commitments.
• Plan, coordinate, and host recruitment events, campus tours, information sessions, and open houses. Oversee event registration, vendor coordination, staffing, logistics, inventory, and post-event reporting.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the recruitment CRM. Assist with procurement and Accounts Payable tasks (invoicing, purchase requisitions, and budget tracking) to support recruitment operations.
• Deliver engaging presentations and webinars to diverse audiences. Travel throughout the assigned recruitment territory as needed.
