About the Role
As an Admissions Recruiter at Rowan University, you will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and their families. In this role, you will guide applicants through the enrollment pipeline, build relationships with community partners, and represent academic programs through consultative outreach, events, and campus tours.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Advisory & Enrollment Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and families; respond to inquiries, provide admissions guidance, conduct counseling sessions, and support applicants from initial interest to enrollment.
- Recruitment & Outreach: Conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, and CRM campaigns. Execute school visits, represent the university at college fairs, conferences, and community events, and cultivate relationships with local counselors and advisors.
- Conversion & Program Promotion: Promote academic programs using consultative sales and personalized outreach strategies to achieve recruitment goals, encourage completed applications, schedule interviews, and drive enrollment commitments.
- Event Planning & Logistics: Plan, coordinate, and host recruitment events, campus tours, information sessions, and open houses. Oversee event registration, vendor coordination, staffing, logistics, inventory, and post-event reporting.
- Administrative & CRM Operations: Maintain accurate candidate records in the recruitment CRM. Assist with procurement and Accounts Payable tasks (invoicing, purchase requisitions, and budget tracking) to support recruitment operations.
- Presentations & Travel: Deliver engaging presentations and webinars to diverse audiences. Travel throughout the assigned recruitment territory as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in admissions, student recruitment, higher education, sales, or a customer-facing environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-channel inquiries, organize priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Public speaking ability with experience delivering presentations to varied audiences.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region, including occasional evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in higher education admissions, enrollment management, or college advising.
- Experience using CRM tools for lead generation, pipeline tracking, and campaign follow-up.
- Track record in consultative sales, lead conversion, or event planning (tours, fairs, conferences).
- Familiarity with basic financial or administrative processes (invoicing, purchase orders, budget management).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
