Job summary

Ranken Technical College is hiring a Recruitment Specialist to attract high school students within the assigned territory, ensuring enrollment targets and revenue. The role promotes diversity, inclusion, and belonging on campus while building partnerships with schools and counselors.

The position involves presentations, follow-ups, and campus visits, and requires frequent travel 4-5 days a week. A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred in education, marketing, sales, or business.
• Three years of experience in college admissions, recruiting, student services, or sales.
• Knowledge of higher education and strong customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in person, writing, phone and email.
• Persuasion skills to influence outcomes; strong organizational and detail orientation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintaining confidentiality of student records.
• Valid driver's license is required and will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve an integrated recruitment effort.
• Give presentations at area high schools and CTE centers; meet with potential students to assess needs and answer questions.
• Follow up with potential students to sustain interest and encourage registration.
• Coordinate admissions and assist applicants ready to enroll.
• Maintain relationships with new enrollees to support retention.
• Build relationships with guidance counselors and instructors at area high schools and tech centers.
• Plan recruitment activities such as college/career fairs and open houses.
• Encourage teachers to bring students for campus tours.
• Be out of office 4-5 days per week during the school year; work as part of a team.
