Passaic County Community College is seeking an Admissions Counselor to drive strategic recruitment and manage a defined territory in New Jersey. The role reports to the Director of Admissions and serves as the college's primary representative, guiding prospective students through the enrollment funnel with expert knowledge of programs, policies, and procedures.

The full-time administrative position involves on- and off-campus events, outreach via phone, email, and social media, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Heavy traveling required in and around Passaic County and surrounding towns in New Jersey.
• Familiarity with computer systems, especially Encoura REACH and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Digital fluency with social media and web-based tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present to groups; strong organizational and time management abilities; ability to work independently; collaborate within the college community.
• Evening and weekend hours are required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and execute recruitment activities throughout Passaic County and the North Jersey region.
• Manage and report assigned recruitment territory; build relationships with high schools, community organizations, and special population groups.
• Represent the College at recruitment functions, including college fairs, community events, and admissions-related activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in on-campus and off-campus recruitment events and special programs.
• Counsel prospective students on academic programs and opportunities available at PCCC.
• Counsel prospective students throughout the enrollment process, from inquiry through registration.
