Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a temporary assignment in Durham, CT. The role involves processing vendor invoices, data entry, and maintaining accurate records in our accounting systems.

This temporary position runs approximately three months with a Monday–Friday day shift and a pay rate of $24.00 per hour. Ideal candidates have prior AP experience and strong attention to detail to support the accounting team in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Accounts Payable experience required
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Experience working with accounting or ERP software
• Understanding of invoices, purchase orders, and payment processing
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Review invoices for accuracy and proper documentation
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Assist with preparing and processing vendor payments
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and files
• Perform account and invoice reconciliations
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices and payment questions
• Enter and maintain financial information within accounting systems
• Assist the accounting department with additional administrative and clerical responsibilities as needed
