Freedom First is seeking a full-time Universalist (Teller) for our Downtown Roanoke location. You will start with teller transactions and member service duties, progressing through training to include account opening and lending.

Based at our Downtown Roanoke location, you will deliver personalized banking experiences and build trusted member relationships. The role emphasizes service excellence, accuracy in cash handling, and compliance with banking regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in banking, financial services, or customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate, influence, and educate members.
• Proficient with computer and administrative support systems.
• Ability to read and interpret financial documents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service by assessing member needs and recommending suitable financial solutions.
• Assist with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries; resolve issues promptly.
• Balance a cash drawer and process daily transactions with accuracy.
• Support opening/closing procedures and branch balancing.
