Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum one year of teller or cash-handling experience required; two or more years preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Specialized training in branch operations or compliance preferred.
• Interpersonal: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead by example and support team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Accurately processes a variety of member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and account inquiries; balances work and cash daily.
• Assists with training, mentoring, and providing guidance to Teller staff on procedures, service skills, and compliance; supports daily setup and assigns operational responsibilities under the Teller Manager.
• Performs operational tasks such as transaction overrides, vault management, ATM balancing, and balances Cash Recyclers; opens and closes the branch as needed.
• Manages branch currency orders and inventory; serves as Vault Teller on rotating basis after certification.
• Ensures adherence to branch security and compliance practices including workstation and member data security, cash handling policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participates in sales and service campaigns; actively cross-sells products and refers members to specialized services.
