Job summary

Greylock Federal Credit Union in Massachusetts is seeking a Teller/Member Services Associate to assist members with memberships, deposits, loan payments, and related services. You will process transactions, manage cash, and support notary and account maintenance tasks while upholding credit union policies.

The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, cross-selling appropriate products, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.

Qualifications

1 year of financial services or public-facing service experience required.
Progressive experience in Member Service roles; 2 years teller or cash handling preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and member engagement skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and core banking systems; familiar with cash recyclers and teller operations.

Responsibilities

Assist members with establishing memberships and opening personal, business, and fiduciary accounts; support related services.
Process Teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing) with vault/cash handling procedures.
Handle complex account maintenance (fraud claims, disputes, name changes, wire transfers, etc.) and Notary services where applicable.
Manage cash/coin inventory, verify currency, and ensure security and proper documentation.
Provide product knowledge, cross-sell appropriately, and refer to relevant departments.
Perform operational tasks including overrides, vault management, ATM balancing, and training new staff.
Originate and process consumer loan applications and Home Equity loans; guide members through disclosures and documentation.
