Job summary

BankUnited seeks a Teller who handles all transactions of teller line and platform, ensuring 100% client satisfaction and operational accuracy. You will promote Bank products, open accounts, and support sales goals while maintaining compliance with banking rules.

Responsibilities include cash handling, check processing, balancing drawers, and assisting customers with product referrals. Training provided; sign-on bonus available after six months of continuous service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of cash handling experience.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of banking products and AML practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount and endorsements.
• Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enters transactions into computer and issues receipts.
• Places holds on accounts as appropriate.
• Balances cash drawer at end of shift and reconciles with computer totals.
• Explains and promotes Bank products and services; meets sales goals.
• Opens and processes accounts based on customer needs and refers to appropriate business line.
• Balances cash in ATMs and night depository under dual control.
• Responds to customer inquiries and assists with safe deposit box transactions.
