Job summary

Marshland Credit Union is seeking a Teller Supervisor to oversee the teller line, coach staff, and ensure accurate, courteous member service. You will partner with the Branch Manager to manage daily operations, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management while handling complex transactions and resolving escalated issues.

The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and strong customer service focus, with opportunities to contribute to branch campaigns and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Teller or Member Services Representative in a credit union or banking environment
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and coaching skills
• Knowledge of credit union products, services, and core systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer and digital banking technology skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise teller and MSR staff, schedule, and manage performance.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to ensure consistent operations and team development.
• Train new tellers and MSRs; onboard and educate on policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and one-on-one coaching to reinforce standards and goals.
• Complete annual performance appraisals and provide ongoing coaching.
• Provide backup coverage for teller line during high-volume periods or absences.
• Ensure compliance with policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor cash levels and oversee cash vault operations; perform reconciliations.
• Assist members with complex transactions, digital services, and account maintenance.
• Support lending activities: explain features, gather docs, process payments, referrals.
• Maintain teller schedules, timecards, and reports; coordinate with Branch Manager.
• Participate in training, community events, or special projects.
