Job summary

Western Security Bank is hiring a Teller/New Accounts Representative at our new Chy Way location, opening December 2026. The role requires strong customer service, a positive attitude, and integrity.

You will balance cash drawers, process deposits/withdrawals, and assist with account openings including CDs/IRAs and e-banking. You’ll promote bank products, cross-sell services, and work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Experience with cash handling and/or customer service required.
• 6 months of banking experience preferred.
• Previous New Accounts experience preferred.
• CSSI and CSSII experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills the WSB Mission Statement and makes customers feel valued.
• Models professional, courteous service and greets customers by name.
• Maintains a welcoming environment and researches customer needs.
• Discovers customer objectives by listening and asking questions.
• Offers appropriate bank services and cross-sells as needed.
• Performs transactions: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, transfers.
• Educates customers on accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs) and e-banking.
• Maintains accurate cash drawer balance and product knowledge.
• Refer inquiries to the right department and follow up with customers.
• Supports opening/maintaining deposit accounts and related services.
