This non-exempt position emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and adherence to bank policies, including BSA compliance. Training includes New Employee Orientation and Teller courses to develop expertise and cross-selling abilities.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient typing, 10-key calculator and data entry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Completion of Southside Bank training: New Employee Orientation, Teller Training, Teller Advanced, and Professional Teller.

Responsibilities

• Provide teller services including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and change orders with accuracy.
• Verify transactions for validity and refer questionable items to a supervisor.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer-focused service at all times.
• Meet or exceed operational and sales goals, including balancing and attendance.
• Recognize cross-sell opportunities and guide customers to appropriate departments.
