Job summary

Southside Bank seeks a diligent teller to deliver accurate banking services across branches in the ETX region. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, and change orders while ensuring transaction validity and confidentiality. A professional appearance and customer-focused approach are essential.

The role requires minimum education of a high school diploma and at least six months of cash handling or customer service experience. Training programs include Teller courses and new-employee orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient in typing, 10-key calculator and data entry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Completion of Southside Bank instructor led classes: New Employee Orientation; Teller Training, Teller Advanced and Professional Teller.

Responsibilities

• Provide teller services including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and change orders with accuracy.
• Refer questionable items to a supervisor and maintain transaction validity.
• Deliver enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to customers and staff.
• Balance cash drawer and meet balancing standards; follow cash handling policies.
• Recognize cross-sell opportunities and refer customers to appropriate departments.
