Job summary

First National Bank Alaska is seeking a Universal Teller I at the Cordova Branch to deliver consistent, friendly customer service while processing transactions promptly and accurately within policy and regulatory guidelines.

Candidates need a minimum of six months cash handling and one year of customer service experience; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm or 8:30am–5:30pm, with pay starting at $19.70/hour plus a 10% differential for Teller I.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months Teller experience; or 1 year customer service and 6 months cash handling experience.
• Strong computer skills: 35 wpm typing, 10-key calculator, and general office equipment knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provides consistent and exceptional service that enhances customer interactions.
• Maintains knowledge of consumer products and services; engages customers to identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Explains account-related questions and refers customers to FNBA specialists when needed.
• Accepts and accurately processes financial transactions following procedures.
• Balances cash and coin; maintains cash recyclers and ATMs.
• Processes lines of credit advances, cash shipments, and wire transfers.
• Adheres to Branch Capture Schedule and completes tasks accurately.
• Complies with bank policies and regulatory requirements; completes training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
