Job summary

Red River Credit Union (RRCU) is seeking a Teller to perform all basic teller duties under close supervision, delivering friendly service while ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to policy.

You will report to the Teller Supervisor and/or Branch Manager, handle transactions, maintain knowledge of RRCU products, and participate in risk and compliance tasks, including documentation as required and cross-training to other teller functions.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of experience with cash handling and/or customer service.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
• Friendly, outgoing individual with good communication skills.
• Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
• Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Interpersonal skills that enable working independently or as part of a team.
• While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include the ability to lift heavy bags of coin, to stand on feet for long periods of time, and to operate standard teller equipment.

• Alert branch management or Risk Management of any suspicious activity regarding transactions including forgery, theft, fraud, kiting, etc.
• Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), and other regulatory compliance documentation as required.
• Ensures that work area and equipment is clean, secure, and well maintained in accordance with RRCU policies and procedures.
• Cross-train to learn other teller functions.
• Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
