Job summary

Red River Credit Union (RRCU) seeks a Teller to perform basic teller duties at our Texas branches under close supervision.

You will handle cash transactions with high accuracy, balance drawers daily, and cross-sell products to meet member needs, while following all policies and regulatory requirements.

A friendly, professional appearance and strong communication skills are essential to delivering excellent member service.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of cash handling and/or customer service-related experience.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Competent with standard office equipment and computer use.
• Friendly, outgoing individual with good communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of coin.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions and cash handling with accuracy.
• Balance drawer daily and secure negotiables.
• Cross-sell products and/or services to meet member needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all RRCU products and services.
• Complete CTRs, SARs, and other regulatory documentation as required.
• Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained per policies.
• Cross-train to learn other teller functions.
• Adhere to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Function
Performs all basic teller duties under close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions and cash handling with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Make wise decisions based upon adequate knowledge of RRCU policies and procedures.
• Responsible for balancing drawer daily and securing negotiables always.
• Willingness to cross-sell products and/or services to meet member needs.
• Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all RRCU products and services.
• Alert branch management or Risk Management of any suspicious activity regarding transactions including forgery, theft, fraud, kiting, etc.
• Complete Currency Transaction Report's (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), and other regulatory compliance documentation as required.
• Ensures that work area and equipment is clean, secure, and well maintained in accordance with RRCU policies and procedures.
• Cross-train to learn other teller functions.
• Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
