Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a friendly Teller to handle daily branch transactions in both lobby and drive-up locations. You will deliver outstanding client service, process deposits and loan payments, and recognize referral opportunities for additional products while building strong client relationships.

You’ll maintain cash drawers, ensure accuracy, comply with bank procedures, and support teammates with cross-sell efforts.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong mathematical aptitude for deposits, withdrawals, and balancing cash.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, loan payments, cash checks, and other transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer, reconcile currency, and protect assets.
• Answer client questions in person and by phone.
• Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities and direct clients to appropriate bankers.
• Record activities and referrals using the bank's system (360View).
• Manage special requests (closing accounts, issuing checks, foreign currency, etc.).
