Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Bend, OR (West branch) seeks a Teller to handle daily teller transactions in lobby and drive-up, delivering outstanding client service and developing client relationships through referral opportunities.

Responsibilities include processing deposits, loan payments, cashing checks, answering client questions, and maintaining accuracy with cash drawers while adhering to security procedures. Willingness to support team and participate in training is expected.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits and loan payments, cash checks, process savings withdrawals, record night and mail deposits, sell cashier's checks, and redeem savings bonds.
• Answer clients' questions in person and over the telephone.
• Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities by informing clients of new services and directing them to a banker.
• Utilize 360View to record activities, incidents, and referrals to business partners and other lines of business.
• Process consumer credit card applications.
• Complete special client requests such as closing accounts, ordering checks, exchanging currency, providing statements or copies, completing referrals, and performing safe-deposit box procedures.
• Reconcile cash drawer by verifying cash transactions, counting and packaging currency, and maintaining cash supplies.
• Comply with bank operations and security procedures, including dual-control functions and auditing.
• Maintain client confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Attend training sessions.
• Contribute to client service and bank success by supporting team members.
• Demonstrate basic product knowledge and proficiency with client-facing systems.
• Complete work accurately with minimal errors.
• Participate in volunteer activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
