Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Teller at our Fort Dodge, IA branch. You will handle daily teller transactions in lobby and drive-up, deliver outstanding client service, and build relationships by identifying referral opportunities for additional products and services.

Responsibilities include processing deposits, loans, and withdrawals; answering questions; performing currency transactions; and maintaining cash drawer accuracy while following bank security procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong math and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Discretion with confidential information and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, loan payments, cash checks, withdrawals, and related transactions.
• Sell cashier’s checks, redeem savings bonds, and process currency transactions.
• Answer client questions in person and by phone; maintain accurate records.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer clients to bankers for products.
• Record activities and referrals using 360View; process special requests.
• Maintain cash drawer accuracy and comply with security procedures.
