Job duties

A teller will have duties in the following areas:

• Welcome members and guests to credit union.
• Process cash transactions at the window, including deposits, withdrawals, share drafts, money orders, travelers checks, check withdrawals, bond redemptions and purchases.
• Remove, log, and process night transactions.
• Take name and address corrections from members for processing.
• Provide information sought by members.
• Develop a working knowledge of the credit union's computer system.
• Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.
• Assist in any area as directed by Management or the Teller supervisor in a relief capacity.
• Cross-sell all credit union services as appropriate.
• Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness & security of work area, desks, equipment, etc.
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
