Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction & Development is seeking a Director of Projects with authority over cost, schedule, risk, and staffing for critical capital projects. The role requires experience in complex program environments and leadership for compliance with project controls standards.

The position reports to the Assistant Vice President Project Controls Executive and is based at 2 Broadway, with telework eligibility of one day per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of related experience.
• Five years in a management or supervisory role in a large organization.
• Strong leadership and policy/ procedural change experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive cost, schedule, and risk management for project baselines.
• Oversee project delivery performance relative to baselines.
• Lead front-end-loading to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.
• Provide input during Select-Phase to optimize project scope and baselines.
• Lead program and project control performance reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of scheduling, cost, risk, and change management.
