Job summary

Indotronix International Corporation is hiring a Telephony & Unified Communications Engineer for a 6-month engagement in Columbia, SC. You will manage telephony administration (moves, adds, changes, voicemail, conferencing, IVR), administer VoIP/UC services, and provide engineer-level support across multiple teams and vendors.

The role emphasizes 911 location accuracy, system design and QA testing, proactive monitoring, documentation, and opportunities to automate processes with IT.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with Avaya on-prem PBX systems.
• 2+ years administering VoIP and unified communications platforms.
• 2+ years with SIP, RTP, QoS, dial plans, call routing, and voice gateway technologies.
• 2+ years troubleshooting voice quality, call routing, carrier connectivity, and E911 services.
• 2+ years working with telecommunications infrastructure (voice circuits, SBCs, PSTN integration).
• Preferred experience with cloud-based telephony solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage telephony administration including moves, adds, changes, disconnects, voicemail, conferencing, IVR, call center and UC services.
• Maintain 911 location accuracy and ensure safety compliance.
• Provide customer support and document work via notes and knowledge base articles.
• Lead projects and advanced technical support, including system design, configuration, installation and QA testing.
• Collaborate with vendors for circuit provisioning and outage resolution; optimize routing tables and diagnose related issues.
• Deliver engineer-level support for telephony and UC, resolving incidents and coordinating multi-team efforts.
• Identify automation opportunities and partner with IT teams to streamline processes.
• Monitor systems proactively to maximize uptime and maintain documentation.
