Job summary

Graceworks Lutheran Services seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and customer service under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include operating the prescription system, preparing medications, and assisting with billing and record-keeping.

The role requires IL licensure, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a PTCB CPhT certification. English/Spanish bilingual ability is required to communicate with a diverse patient base and care teams.

Qualifications

• Illinois licensure required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• PTCB CPhT or equivalent certification required.
• One year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English (reading/writing/speaking) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in non‑professional aspects of preparing and dispensing medications.
• Open and close the pharmacy.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses on drug administration schedules.
• Manufacture and prepare sterile products.
• Prepare billing statements and process payments.
• Maintain required record-keeping and inventory.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and report breaches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
