Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions and performing pharmacy duties under supervision. The role includes operating pharmacy systems, coaching technicians and cashiers, and delivering a distinctive customer experience.

The position requires PTCB certification (except PR), one year of pharmacy tech experience, and fluency in English. Flexibility for evenings and weekends and immunization certification is requested where allowed.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing prescriptions and in pharmacy duties.
• Operate pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coach technicians and cashiers in system use.
• Maintain inventory, assist with shrink control and ensure accurate cash handling and customer service.
