Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, entering patient data, and ensuring accuracy. You will assist with daily operations, verify medications, and help manage pharmacy workflow while maintaining compliance with company policies.

The role requires PTCB/ExCPT certification, English fluency, and a willingness to obtain immunization certification.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of experience as pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: prior Walgreens experience.
• Preferred: basic math skills.
• Preferred: basic PC skills.
• Preferred: knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision and support pharmacy operations.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately in pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications.
• Verify medicine accuracy and check for interactions.
• Support workflow and scheduling in the pharmacy.
• Process third party claims and handle clerical duties.
• Lead inventory management and monitor KPIs with the team.
• Assist with clinical services coordination and community outreach.
