Job summary

Mercy Health—The Jewish Hospital is seeking a Lead RN/Charge Nurse to coordinate patient care on the Medical Telemetry Unit. You will work with the Clinical Manager to ensure efficient operations, patient safety and high-quality care.

The role requires RN licensure in the relevant state, 2+ years nursing experience and leadership abilities. Attendance at ongoing education and adherence to nursing standards are expected.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice (or compact)
• BLS Basic Life Support required/preferred on hire
• Certifications depending on unit (PALS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on a designated unit.
• Provide staff guidance and supervision when unit leader is absent.
• Maintain environmental safety and infection control standards.
• Communicate with patients and families regarding plan of care.
• Participate in ongoing quality monitoring and performance improvement.
