Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is seeking a Telemetry Technician in Akron, OH. The role is Per Diem/PRN with 12-hour shifts and compensation of $21.00 per hour.

You will monitor alarms, interpret EKGs, and ensure timely responses under RN supervision. Minimum qualifications include completing the EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start, with preferred background as LPN, Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred background as LPN, Paramedic or RN nursing student with EKG training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and respond to alerts promptly and appropriately.
• Observe all monitors and verify correct rhythms and artifact.
• Perform EKG interpretations (rate, rhythm, PRI, QRS, QT, ST segment).
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
