Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Telemetry Technician / Monitor Tech in Youngstown, OH. This per diem/PRN role involves 12-hour day shifts and close monitoring of patient telemetry to ensure timely alarm responses and accurate rhythm interpretation.

You will perform EKG interpretations and have your rhythms validated by a registered nurse. A high school diploma is required, with prior nursing or EKG training preferred.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date
• Competency on education platform required

Responsibilities

• Watch and respond to alarms; verify rhythms and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms
• Observe monitors and respond promptly to alarms
• Interpret EKGs (rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QT, ST) and ensure RN validation of strips
