Job summary

Regency Hospital Company is seeking a Telemetry Technician for per diem, 12 hour shifts at Oregon, OH. You will monitor patient telemetry, respond to alarms, and verify rhythm identifications while supporting RN staff with strip interpretations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and EKG training; preferred backgrounds include LPN, Paramedic or RN student with EKG training. Positions available at Sylvania and Oregon locations with potential 401k eligibility after hours worked.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Pass required tests and competencies as per Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Watch monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Verify identification of basic and lethal rhythms and artifact.
• Perform EKG interpretations: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTc, ST segments.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.

Position: Telemetry Technician

Schedule: Per Diem, 12 hour shifts

Compensation: $23.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends

• You will assume responsibility for continuously watching and ensuring appropriate and timely responses to alarms. Verifying correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifact; maintaining EKG monitor alarms and responding to all alarms as needed.
• Continuously observing all monitors assigned and responding to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Completing EKG interpretations including: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, wave form alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensuring strip interpretations are validated by RN.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date in position and pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)*, Licensed Paramedic or RN nursing student with EKG training (*LPNs are limited to working as telemetry tech only.)
