Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry unit on a full-time days schedule (7am-7pm), with rotating weekends and holidays. The RN will provide direct patient care, perform the nursing process, and coordinate with the medical team to monitor cardiac status.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within Telemetry scope and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and monitoring results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and treatment response.
