Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Telemetry/Intermediate Care unit. The role supports safe patient care using the nursing process, with direct patient care and leadership in patient/family teaching.

The position is full-time, dayshift (7a-7p) on a 3-12 hour shift schedule, with rotating holidays and weekends. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Acute Care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry Unit.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
