Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Acute Telemetry unit. You will deliver safe patient care, assessment, planning and evaluation, and direct patient care within the nursing scope.

Collaboration with physicians on changes in condition and treatment response is required. The role requires active RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, plus familiarity with basic arrhythmia interpretation and ventilator management.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
