Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Contingent Registered Nurse for the Short Stay Unit on a part-time, rotating shift basis. The role focuses on post-surgical and post-procedural care with a 24–48 hour disposition expectation.

Strong critical thinking and communication skills, plus current Michigan RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS for specific departments may apply. BSN is preferred, and CNs with Canadian experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program that enables NCLEX to be taken.
• BSN preferred by the institution.
• Current Michigan RN license and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates, and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Educates patient and family using teach-back methods.
• Communicates patient status and interventions during rounds and handoffs.
• Adheres to HIPAA policies and hospital mission.
