Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor seeks a Registered Nurse for the Short Stay Unit on the 12 Hour Night Shift. The unit cares for post-surgical and post-procedural patients, including Infusion and Transfusion cases, with a typical disposition within 24-48 hours.

The Telemetry Monitor Unit employs monitoring staff and requires duties related to patient monitoring and equipment at the central station and on units. BSN preferred; Nurses must maintain licensure and BLS/ACLS as specified.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing that enables licensure as RN (NCLEX).
• BSN preferred; BSN within 5 years of hire may be required.
• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification; ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Educates patient and family using teach-back method.
• Ensures patient safety and prevents hospital-acquired conditions.
• Communicates status, goals and interventions during rounds and handoffs.
• Adheres to HIPAA policies and Trinity Health mission.
