Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Contingent Registered Nurse for the Short Stay Unit in Ann Arbor. The role supports 17+ age patients and includes post-surgical care, infusion and transfusion duties, with a telemetry monitoring unit also described.

This is a part-time, rotating-shift position with contingent status. The unit emphasizes rapid disposition (24–48 hours) and adherence to HIPAA while delivering mission-driven care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing eligible to sit for NCLEX and become licensed as RN.
• BSN degree preferred or must obtain within five years of hire/transfer.
• Current Michigan RN license and BLS.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized care plan.
• Uses teach back to educate patient and family.
• Prevents potential hospital-acquired conditions.
• Communicates patient status and priorities during rounds and handoffs.
• Follows HIPAA policies and mission/values.
