Job summary

The Registered Nurse will provide safe patient care in Telemetry, using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, under a 12-hour night shift schedule at Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago.

The assignment lasts 12 weeks with potential extension based on staffing. Requires active Illinois RN license, BLS and ACLS, and telemetry expertise including arrhythmia interpretation and ventilator management.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the Telemetry Unit and supervise patient/family teaching.
• Coordinate with physicians about changes in condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status and treatment response.
