Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL seeks a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry floor to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation. You will provide direct patient care, guide patient and family education, and collaborate with physicians regarding changes in condition, monitoring cardiac status, test results and treatment responses.

Nights, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition, including cardiac monitoring and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
