Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (PCU/Step-Down/Tele RN) for a PRN day shift at our Willow Park facility. The role involves assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Telemetry/ICU, are proficient in cardiac rhythms, and capable of supporting higher-acuity patients including respiratory therapies. BLS/ACLS current; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or nursing diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required.
• 2+ years RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or 2+ years in related healthcare positions, required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age-specific nursing care with advanced specialty skills.
• Follow physician's orders in delivery of nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques in patient care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policy and procedures.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Assemble equipment for diagnostic or treatment procedures in the service area.
• Operate within legal, facility, and Board of Nursing standards.
