Job summary

Emerus seeks an Inpatient Registered Nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in its small-format hospital setting. The RN will provide age-appropriate nursing care, follow physician orders, and maintain patient privacy while ensuring infection control standards are met.

Key responsibilities include admissions/discharges, specimen collection, and assisting in procedures. Requires RN license, 2+ years ICU/Telemetry experience, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license without sanctions.
• 2+ years RN experience in Telemetry/ICU or related healthcare positions.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred.
• English fluency with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age-specific nursing care with advanced clinical knowledge.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques in patient care.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policies and COLA/CLIA regulations.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Assemble equipment for diagnostic or treatment procedures and assist others.
• Adhere to state Board of Nursing standards for care.
