Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, NJ. The role focuses on high-quality patient care, accurate medication administration, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide evidence-based nursing care, maintain precise documentation, and educate patients and families. A New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR, ACLS, and eligible for BSN progression are required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS required.
• Minimum of 6 months nursing experience or active Nurse Residency program.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to up-to-date evidence-based research and standards of care to provide safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team about patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety.
• Point-of-care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharging patients to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
