Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain telemetry charts from admission to discharge.
• Demonstrate correct placement of telemetry leads and follow monitoring guidelines.
• Document monitor times and facilitate physician orders for telemetry.
• Measure and interpret heart rhythm patterns and record findings.
• Monitor SDU patients for rhythm variances using the Draeger system.
• Notify staff of abnormal rhythms indicating ischemia or myocardial infarction.
• Review cardiac medication profiles for variances and adverse effects.
