Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Monitor Tech for per diem Days shifts in sunny California. You will support the ED with indirect patient care, monitor cardiac rhythms, and assist nursing staff while maintaining patient safety and privacy.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma, a Dy rs rhythm ia Interpretation Certificate, a current BLS certificate, and some prior Monitor Technician experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate required on hire and maintained.
• BLS certificate required on hire and maintained.
• Six months Monitor Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE/EMR if needed.
• Verify that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and completed.
• Prepare and organize patient records and charts daily.
• Order supplies for the unit and maintain necessary forms.
• Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care when not distracted from rhythm monitoring.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience

Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate

BLS certificate

Six months Monitor Technician experience preferred
