Job summary

Trident Medical Center in North Charleston, SC seeks a Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. Night shifts, 12 hours, three days per week, and every-other-weekend rotation apply. Onsite at the hospital with standard telemetry care and documentation in Meditech.

Must have NIH stroke scale cert, BLS, ACLS, and RN license; experience with 6- patient telemetry and post-cath care is required. Phlebotomy and IT-equipped workflow are a plus.

Qualifications

• NIH stroke scale certification required.
• BLS & ACLS and RN license are required.
• One travel nursing assignment preferred; 30 months RN/LPN experience.
• Must care for 6 Telemetry patients; read telemetry strips; discharge planning.
• Phlebotomy skills and post-cath care experience are a plus.
• Respiratory treatments, Foley catheters, and cardiac drips management.

• Number of Beds : 29
• Patient Ratios : 1:6
• Unit staffing description- RNs.
• Type of equipment : i-mobile phones for each care team member, Mobile computer workstation on wheels, mobilab for lab drawers, alaris iv pumps
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3 - 12 hour shifts per week to include every other weekend
• Floating policy: Travelers are the first to float. Any traveler could be sent to the emergency department to care for inpatients holds. Could be floated in work in the telemetry monitoring room or PCU.
• Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report is our method of patient hand off, AIDET and RN/MD rounding
