Job summary

Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital seeks a Telemetry Monitor Technician Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the telemetry monitor technicians, ensuring standardized monitoring across the hospital.

Schedule: 3x12s; 6:15am to 6:45pm. Responsible for staffing, coordinating activities, process improvement, alarm management, and staff education to recognize arrhythmias and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Two years’ experience as a telemetry monitor technician.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff and monitor time/attendance to ensure adequate staffing.
• Coordinate activities of the monitor technicians to achieve goals.
• Participate in departmental process improvement and quality management programs.
• Oversee telemetry alarm data to reduce alarm fatigue and improve patient safety.
• Ensure staff education to recognize and analyze arrhythmias and maintain competency.
