Flowers Hospital is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors, document patient rhythms, and identify arrhythmias. You will communicate findings to the healthcare team and ensure equipment is correctly configured for safe patient care.

Responsibilities include recording rhythm strips, notifying staff of rhythm changes, coordinating with care teams, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation period.
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets telemetry monitors, recording rhythm strips at set intervals.
• Identifies rhythm changes and promptly notifies nurses or licensed personnel.
• Maintains communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders for coordination.
• Troubleshoots and resolves monitoring equipment issues; escalates as directed.
• Organizes and tracks equipment for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensures correct lead placement and electrode application for optimal monitoring.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
