Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors, document rhythms, and promptly identify arrhythmias to support patient safety.

Responsibilities include recording rhythm strips, notifying licensed staff of rhythm changes, configuring equipment, and maintaining clear communication with the care team to ensure accurate and timely patient monitoring.

Qualifications

• Telemetry or EKG interpretation course completed during orientation.
• 0–2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting.

Responsabilités

• Continuously observes and interprets patient telemetry monitors, accurately recording rhythm strips at established intervals.
• Identifies and promptly notifies the nurse or other licensed personnel of any rhythm changes.
• Maintains effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with monitoring equipment, escalating unresolved problems as directed.
• Organizes and tracks monitoring equipment during the shift for admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Ensures accurate lead placement and electrode application for optimal telemetry monitoring.
