Job summary

Medical City North Hills Hospital is seeking a Monitor Technician PRN to join the Telemetry team. This on-site role involves monitoring telemetry data, interpreting rhythms, and promptly reporting changes to licensed staff.

You will document rhythm status during routine and emergent interventions while assisting with patient care coordination and unit operations. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained or within 30 days of start date.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level role with no prior monitor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, interpret and report telemetry data.
• Recognize rhythms impacting patient physiology and notify licensed staff.
• Document rhythm status and changes during routine and emergent interventions.
• Report changes in pulse oximetry to licensed personnel.
• Support monitoring equipment setup, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
• Act as unit receptionist and handle paging system.
• Maintain monitoring area supplies and a safe work environment.
• Initiate Basic Life Support when necessary.
