Job summary

LMH Health is seeking a dedicated Monitor Technician for the night shift to support the patient care team. The role involves continuous surveillance of cardiac rhythms, timely reporting of changes, and coordination with nurses and IT to ensure telemetry equipment functions reliably.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School diploma or equivalent, current BLS certification, and complete a monitor tech training program within six months.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification current.
• Completion of monitor tech training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac rhythms and notify clinicians of changes.
• Initiate and discontinue monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Configure monitoring equipment as needed.
• Perform clerical duties related to admission, discharge, and patient information documentation.
• Maintain telemetry system and transport monitors.
• Answer calls and communicate clearly with units and providers.
• Provide excellent customer service and relay information to appropriate staff.
• Mentor new staff and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot monitors with nursing staff and IT as appropriate.
• Greet customers and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
