Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Night Shift Monitor Technician to support telemetry monitoring and patient care. You will observe EKG patterns, document events, and communicate changes to the nursing team, ensuring alarms are enabled and accurate.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, staying current with training, and participating in ongoing education while supporting a clean, safe work environment. A high school diploma and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Monitor tech experience or completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with patients/public in challenging situations.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors telemetry data and notifies nursing staff of abnormalities.
• Documents in accordance with department policy and maintain telemetry logbook.
• Ensures alarms are set and audible; troubleshoots monitors as needed.
• Maintains telemetry printouts during cardiac arrest and as indicated.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and supports department quality standards.
• Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices.
